🌊Mrs. Carter’s 5th grade class at St. Marys Elementary is embarking on an exciting journey in their Exploration unit! They've been learning all about the ecological importance of phytoplankton and how these tiny creatures adapt to changes in the ocean. 🌍🌿
Recently, they discovered how studying Harmful Algae Blooms can guide us in protecting wildlife. To top it off, Mr. Larry Dixon joined them for a fascinating squid dissection, showing how these creatures start life as tiny zooplankton. The students found it both thrilling and a bit gross—learning has never been this fun! 🦑📚

🎃Mrs. Moore and Ms. Meier's kindergarten classroom at Crooked River Elementary School recently celebrated Pumpkin Day! 🧡 The students had a blast with a variety of pumpkin investigation activities. They explored whether pumpkins sink or float, measured their pumpkins, counted the number of lines, and described the pumpkins they brought from home. 🎈
The little chefs also made pumpkin pie in a bag 🥧 and enjoyed a relay race featuring marshmallow pumpkin candy! 🍬 To top it all off, the class created a graph to see who liked the taste of pumpkin seeds and who did not. 📊
A fantastic time learning about pumpkins was had by all! 🌟

Camden County Schools is committed to ensuring the safe transportation of our students to and from school every day. As a proactive measure, we want to inform you that there will be delays for afternoon buses on Friday, November 15th. This delay is due to a shortage of drivers and the scheduling of high school athletic events.
On this date, parents and guardians should be aware that the afternoon bus services will be affected. If these delays impact your schedule, we recommend contacting your child’s school to make arrangements for picking up your student at dismissal, if necessary.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these challenges to support all our students while prioritizing their safety and well-being. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support of Camden County Schools.
